Sermon: Grow Where You’re Planted

“Grow Where You’re Planted”

(October 10, 2010) After the worst has come to pass for the people of Israel and they have been exiled to Babylon, Jeremiah tells them to do the best they can with the situation they have: plant gardens, marry and have children, and work for the good of the place where they are living. We may not be in the most “fertile ground” for growing a church, but that is our intention as the people of God have always done. We will grow where we are planted. (Jeremiah 29: 1, 4-7).
