Sermon: Don’t Look Back

“Don’t Look Back”

(June 27, 2010) We are very accustomed to praising Jesus for calling his disciples away from sin or labor and into a life of servant-hood, but what about those times when Jesus calls people away from good things like home and family and honor and tradition? Are we ready to respond when the call of God draws us away from the things of the past, the safety of family and comfort zones, the traditions and honor of the past, and into a future that promises only a journey and “no place to lay our heads”? We can only pray for the courage to respond faithfully. (Luke 9:51-62)

temporarily missing my microphone cord, so the sound is a little off, but still salvageable.
