(May 9, 2010) Last week, we talked about God’s call that we relinquish the old ways of doing things, the old laws and rules (even though they are sometimes easier!). When we strip the barriers away and tear down the walls, we find that God’s new command is there in place: that we love as Christ loves. More than “just love,” though, this is a call to the most vulnerable, challenging, difficult aspect of our spiritual lives: to take on and live the very nature of God who is love. (Revelation 21:1-7; 22-22:5; John 13:31-35)
I'm an elder in the New England Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and on an exciting journey of faith and ministry. I've discovered that I'm most fulfilled when I am co-creating something, whether it's a blog, a church program, or a family. Welcome to a space where I share all things ministerial.
