Sermon: God Gone Wild

“God Gone Wild”

(Feb 14, 2010 – Transfiguration)

We’ve become very good at keeping God in check, acting like the church has the corner on God and shielding ourselves and the rest of the world from the ‘God contagion.’ Because God is actually quite startling, quite life-changing, and is likely to run amok all over the place, mixing stuff up. We can’t have that. Or can we? (Exodus 34:29-35; 2 Corinthians 3:12-4:2; Luke 9:28-36)

    1. thank you, sir! It got a couple of chuckles, and one side conversation I overheard: “do you think she knows what it’s a reference to?” “she *must*…”

The caution tape did nothing to phase them; have to get their attention somehow!
