(September 27, 2009) We continue the sermon series examining the practices of the early church in Acts 2:42-47, using their example as a starting point for ways we might not only rethink church but “reboot” it by going back to the beginning. This week, we discover that the first Christians met together daily in the temple for worship. How do we worship God in our everyday lives, naming God’s presence where we see it and offering sacrifices of thanksgiving and praise? (Acts 2:42-47, Exodus 15:11-21, John 4:19-26)
part two of a four-part series, “Rethink Church, Reboot Church,” examining the practices of the early church: pooling resources to meet needs, observing a daily discipline of worship, eating together as celebration, and living the message with their lives.
