Sermon: Just Do It

sneaker closeup“Just Do It”

(August 30, 2009) It often seems that churches are all talk and not enough action, and the author of the letter of James urges the Christians of his time and ours to ‘be doers of the word and not hearers only.’ We must remember not only that we hear the Word– and by that we mean much more than the words of the Bible– but do it, live the example of Christ with our lives. We must be much less interested in getting people in to church and much more invested in sending people– sending ourselves– out. (James 1:17-27)
