A friend’s special day

Laying hands on Rev. Megan S

Compared to my previous emotionalism, I weathered ordination, my usual cry fest, pretty well, needing only one of the ten tissues I had stuffed in my robe pocket. I only openly wept as the Bishop laid hands on my dear seminary friend Megan and I heard the sound behind me and around me of about two hundred people standing in solidarity with her.

Today’s a short day before I head out to see my family.
